Well I have been
conned into my 1st Blog and asked to thee tell you about Sokun and
my stay at Sihanoukville. It was about
the 23 or 25 th of January that Sokun was asked to go to the BEC in
Sihanoukville to teach K’s younger sister some cooking for a week. We decided to go after the 30th of January,
as I had to renew my visa. We set out on a warm February afternoon with six children
on a normal 5 hour Bus trip at 3:00 pm
and arrived there at around 8:30-9:00 pm and were meet by K whom I had only met
only met once before, As we were not 100% sure where the BEC was. By the time
we arrived at the BEC , We mainly wanted Just a feed, Shower and bed. Day 1
to 7 went with a relaxed routine coming about and continuing .
We all would be up
and about early for the day as Sokun would start the day by teaching Srey pov
and cooking breakfast, and not too long after breakfast Sokun and Srey pov
would be off to the market for the day’s Supplies(Sokun Did complain it cost
more there). After a good lunch we would then get ready for an afternoon on the
beach, for those That have been there you only have to think back and for those
who haven’t, well what are you waiting for. They are beautiful beaches with
white sand and pine tree’s (yes. pine tree’s) for shade. We did that every 2nd
day and loved it. Morning’s doing some studies, then swimming and playing and
chilling at the beach. The BEC
there also is in a good building and roomy, though not as large as in PP. K and
family are doing well and loving it there (and who wouldn’t ).
Savvy and his wife
have recently moved there and they came to see us while we were there , they
also were looking well. All in all it was a great week, but all good things
must come to an end sometime (pity ). Day 7 and back to PP. Will be 100% going
back there Again.
